Dr. Ambedkar Competitive Examination Centre (ACEC): UPSC Guidance and Coaching Centre

During the last couple of decades, awareness about the Civil Services as a rewarding career has been growing at a very fast pace. The number of candidates taking up these examinations is growing exponentially. However, it is seen that the majority of the candidates from rural areas of Maharashtra, especially those from the weaker sections of society, are still unaware of the Civil Services Examinations conducted by the UPSC.

Dr. Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center (ACEC) was set up at YASHADA, Pune, under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) of the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, and started functioning from 3rd July 2006 for providing guidance to the candidates from weaker sections of society in Maharashtra.

In 2010, the State Minority Commission and Minority Development Section, GoM, approved 10 seats for the candidates of the Minority Community and provided financial support in 2012.
