CDM Cell

Objectives:

Empowering stakeholders and the community in DM through specific training programmes for officials and non-officials at the State, District, PRI/ULB levels.
Research and consultancy in Disaster Management, with reference to policy advocacy and framework.
Provide technical guidance and consultation in Disaster Management to State and District Disaster Managers, with due consideration to the National Disaster Management Framework.
Capacity Building of faculty and stakeholders.

Objectives:

Reaching out to those who are unknown stakeholders in DM.
Help in developing a disaster-resilient Maharashtra.
Collaborate with the R & R Department, GoM, and undertake the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project, Component C Phase II, for capacity building of 30 government officers from each of the five identified departments, namely Health, Education, Rural Development, PRI, and ULB in all 36 districts.
Conduct Disaster Management capacity building programmes at the district and state levels.
